In the playoffs, the Rockets defeated the third-seeded Utah Jazz in the first round, then defeated the second-seeded Phoenix Suns in the semifinals, and defeated the first-seeded San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals. In the Basketball Finals, the Rockets would sweep the Orlando Magic, and win their second consecutive championship.
